As many of you know, I have been an advocate for alternative holistic health modalities for many years. I am a licensed massage therapist, nationally certified lymphatic therapist, tuning fork therapist, reiki practitioner, and trained in the biochemistry of essential oils. I combine all of these modalities in my practice based on the individuals needs. I truly believe that achieving health is a multi dimensional approach.
Over the years I have been diagnosed with asthma, psoriasis, fibromyalgia, and IBS. The ever changing severity of these conditions seemed to be linked to my overall stress levels. I even had a specialist doctor tell me that most if not all of these conditions would go away, if I just got rid of the stress in my life. So, that being said, I kept hearing from different places that stress is the main cause of up to 90% of chronic illness. In massage school the teachers used to say, “the issue is in the tissue”, meaning that whatever emotions you were holding onto was causing chronic muscle tightness and pain. It has been shown that memories are not just stored in the brain. Organ transplant patients have been commonly known to be able to recall memories from their donors, and even absorb their personality traits! For memories that have a strong negative emotional charge to them, it can cause imbalance in the body that if not addressed, can lead to chronic illness and pain.
So, on to the topic at hand…
During the covid shutdown I developed excruciating shoulder pain. I went to the orthopedic, who did an MRI, and found a few minor issues. Small bone spur, torn labrum, slightly torn rotator cuff. He gave me a cortisone shot, which did absolutely nothing. Then off to PT to strengthen my shoulder. After 3X a week for 8 weeks, and doing the home exercises daily, I only noticed a small improvement.
This was not going to work for me as a massage therapist, so I looked into different holistic modalities.
An acquaintance of mine suggested Emotion Code Therapy. She raved about how much it had helped her physically, mentally, and emotionally. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try it. Worse case scenario, it couldn’t make it any worse.
I booked a package of 4 sessions to start. I am familiar with energy medicine (TCM, acupuncture, meditation, reiki, and tuning fork therapy) and the quantum physics behind it, so it wasn’t difficult for me to understand and believe that releasing trapped emotions in the body can greatly improve your physical/mental/emotional health.
So during the first session, I was amazed at how accurate the information was of the specific trapped emotions I had, and what ages I trapped them. After the session, I was a little sleepy, so I took a short nap. I felt somehow lighter, in an emotional sense, but not much else. When I laid down to go to bed that night, I was expecting my normal routine of overthinking that would normally keep me up for sometimes hours before being able to sleep. But no….my mind was clear. No overthinking, no “what if” imaginary scenarios. It was the strangest thing. But I fell asleep basically right away. It was not something that I was focused on fixing, it just happened after the trapped emotions were released.
The next morning I woke up with the worst shoulder pain that I had ever felt. That lasted a day, then I started to see minor improvement in my pain levels. It was explained to me that while the emotions are release immediately on an energetic level, it can take up to 2 days to process them out of the physical body. Kinda like when you do any sort of detox and you feel worse before you feel better. So, I continued on with my sessions once a week, and after the 4th one, my shoulder pain was reduced by at least 75%. It was incredible! I could function at work again, without having to pop Motrin twice a day.
But what I also noticed, is that after the sessions, there were fears and insecurities that I had, that have completely vanished. I became much more optimistic, and now have a clarity of thought that I never thought possible. It was like a missing link in my own personal healing journey that I never knew was missing. It inspired me so much, I knew I had to become certified so I can share this wonderful therapy with you! Bonus: it is done completely remotely!
It was such a profound healing, that it inspired me to become a certified Emotion Code practitioner, and then a certified Body Code practitioner.
